建築のお話。
井上博道記念館の正面玄関の扉です。縦2メートル、横１．１メートルのスギの一枚板です。
このスギは京都市の北部、雲ケ畑にあった直径8メートルもあった大木から取られました。
伐採後20年が経過した確かな材です。火燈窓風の意匠に合うデザインと素材。扉一枚にも
当館独自の工夫が凝らされています。
This is a front door of our museum. This door is made of Japanese cedar.
Height 200 centimeter. Wide 110 centimeter.
We spent a lot of time consideringwhat design and timber is good for the entrance.
